FAQ:

What is the camp schedule?
The camp will run July 8-12 and July 15-19 from 9 AM-3 PM each day. There is an add on option for families that need coverage until 5:30 PM. Generally the camp will have an opening and closing rally, set times for small groupings of students to engage lessons with local artists and musicians, outdoor activities, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Registrants will receive a detailed schedule in late June.

Are there scholarships for this camp?
We do have a limited amount of funds to support any scholarship requests.  These will only be applied after we reach the minimum number of campers.  Please contact us with the words "scholarship" and indicate if you need partial or full funding to participate.

Is this camp religious?
While this camp is hosted by two churches, it is offered as a community camp.  The official programming will be focused on music and art skills, as well as themes for bettering friendship and wellbeing.  There will be an option for your family to take home faith -based insights, activities, and conversation tools, and they will be available at pickup each day.

What kind of curriculum will my kids be learning?
This material is adapted from https://www.friendzy.co/sel-elementary-school-program and has daily themes, catchphrases, and goals to help your kiddo creatively engage others at school and in the community. Our art and music options are an added medium for communicating the daily themes and goals.

What skill level are the art/music/writing lessons for?
While our guest gurus are local artists and musicians with amazing amounts of skill, this camp is for interested, beginner and up to intermediate level students. Most of the lessons will move from a demo to vocabulary, technique, and skill sharing among the students.

Should we send an instrument with our child?
Students are encouraged to bring an instrument for the track they choose, but it is not required since each classroom will have an instrument for students to share.

Will my child be safe and secured while on site?
All our leaders are background checked and trained for working with children in pairs/groups, so no adult is ever alone with a child. The property will be secured during the duration of the camp and drop off and pick up will take place in a single, designated area.

Can you accommodate special needs?
We welcome all campers to apply and will do our best to accommodate needs as best we are able. Programming is on the first level so we can accommodate wheelchairs, and sensory space will be available for behavioral health need
